Our Review of the First Week
Hard to believe that the first week is already over! There are so many impressions and things that we saw and learned about a wholesome culture. Some things we had to learn, such as
- ordering food in restaurants at vending machines and not at the waiter
- vending machines for affordable food and snacks everywhere in every city
- pedestrain crossings sounding cuckoo-like sounds when it's time to pass
- heated toilet seats
- cities that are incredibly clean and that don't have any graffiti at all - really nowhere!
- cities without any wastebins! They just carry their garbage home and dispose of it there
- delicious Japanese breakfast
- delicious food in general (not surprised at all)
- everything here works somehow smoothly and kind of automatically, there's not much ado - but it works perfectly!
Sounds like a declaration of love? Yes, it is! 🥰🥰
And a somehow irritating thing we noticed: Gacha/Pachinko (gambling) parlors full of kids and grown-ups. You don't have to understand everything of a different culture...
A rare real arcade machine!
